The big three.

Focusing our research like a fresnel lens.

Presence:

What is reality and how can we tweak it?

VR has only recently allowed us to turn classical philosophical armchair-experiments about the nature of conciousness and the self into actual experimental studies to investigate the human condition like never before. We aim to grow the body of knowledge about virtual presence and also apply this in our primary reality. Some keywords we investigate: consciousness; body ownership; agency; suspension of disbelief. Get ready to redefine the human psyche.

Neurohaptics:

Real fire burns, virtual doesn’t. Unless…

Unless you’re in the Virtual Neuroscience lab, where we experiment with a wide variety on tangible feedback systems to kickstart the neural pathways of different sensations. We align with the idea that the brain is a prediction machine and we seek to create perceptual illusions and learning mechanisms that play on that notion. Related keywords: haptics; feedback loops; predictive coding; conditioning. Good thing psychophysics isn’t as rigid as real physics.

Outreach:

With great computing power comes great responsibility.

We are committed to push the VR train forward to mainstream adoption, educating both the professionals and the lay public through sharing information, open source software, public demonstrations etc. We are experienced in science communication and education, software development and multimedia. The huge potential of virtual reality out-weights any possible downsides and it is our mission to exemplify that. We absolutely love VR, when it is done right.

LETS TALK. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE VIRTUALLY ENDLESS.
